One of the resolutions I have is to break out of my comfort zone, and I'd really like to participate more in the fun quilty activities that are always floating around the blogosphere. The idea behind this sew along is very flexible and fun - perfect for my first activity to participate in!
Anyhoo, I got the rows completely pieced, and decided to add some sashing between the rows of tumblers. With just the tumblers, the quilt body just wouldn't be big enough. Now I fear it's disproportionately tall for how wide it is. Ah well, this is what happens when you improv! Hoping to have a completed quilt top this week!

Love it! I love the Ruby fabrics and I especially love the grey with it. Really pretty :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your quilt. The aqua and red pop against that grey. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I just did a Strawberry Fields table runner a few months ago! I didn't play along this week with any WIP or anything but happen to see your post when I was checking out what people had posted!
ReplyDeleteI love tumblers and also getting ready to conquor a quilt using them, I only have a tumbler ruler but if you use charm packs there is hardly any waste :)
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Leslie! I checked out your blog, and love the Strawberry Fields tablerunner you posted! I also realized you're in the QC - I'm in So. Chandler! Small world!
ReplyDeleteVery small world!!! well I will add your blog to mine so I can see what you are doing! glad to have found you, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteLove the tumbler design - I have just cut into my Ruby fabric and am using a grey solid as well so it is nice to see how lovely they look together.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, I love it paired with the grey sashing.
