Saturday was definitely family and fun day. In preparation, I got an awesome amount of housecleaning and yardwork done in preparation Saturday morning, which in itself is an accomplishment. My hubby's cousin drove over from the other side of town with her family to check out the new pool. We swam, barbequed hot dogs and drank lemonade, and finished the evening by making chocolate ice cream from scratch and watching some Star Wars. Awesome.
A long day of sun and fun on Saturday definitely left me wanting to just stay inside on Sunday. Even though my whole body hurts from hours of throwing kids around in the pool, I managed to get the patchwork chevron quilt fully quilted! Next step is binding, and I'm planning to do that next weekend.
I also got two - TWO! - quilt tops put together. I managed to get two crib-ish sized quilts out of the blocks I made from the Prairie Paisley jelly roll. One of them needs a border, I think, but I'll likely add that when I get backing fabric. Easy peasy.

| Two tops! That one on the left is a little wimpy looking, though... |
I also got some extra details on the first craft fair that I'm participating in this fall! It's a very new experience for me, but I can't wait! I spent a good chunk of time tonight plotting some new quilty goodness for the baby quilts I'm making for the boutique. It has me contemplating buying Kona solids by the bolt!
